Mission- A Privilege

It is a privilege given to every single adult in the Church to serve the Lord for two years with the tag holding the name of our Savior Jesus Christ. I am pleased to carry my name tag as Elder Rathinam as I decided to serve the Lord at the right time. I was born in a faithful family where my parents taught me to stand firm and steadfast in the Gospel in any situation. I love my Heavenly Father and His Son so much, which in turn made my desire to serve Him with all my heart, might, mind and strength.

My missionary call during this pandemic is a blessing in my life. The agency given by the Lord helped me to show my love for Him as I testify that He too loves and cares for me. My Love for the almighty more likely increased as I choose to serve a full-time mission. As a result, it provides an opportunity for me to love and keep the commandments with obedience and comfort. The blessings started to flow from on high as I began to press forward to acquire Christ-like attributes. And Doctrine and Covenants section 4 helps me to find the menu of those attributes. At times, I forget myself as I seek the guidance of the Spirit in loving and serving my fellow beings. This made me increase the love that I have for them. Serving the Lord is blessing me to enjoy the Gospel every day as I am practising it regularly. I bear witness that the missionary field will not only bless a single individual but the entire posterity if we remain faithful.
