When I was baptized as a child, I didn't have much desire to know about God or witness His truths. As a young woman, my desire to know about God and His kingdom was very small, but I decided to work on it. My journey began with seeking through prayer. Initially, I didn't find any answers and thought my efforts were wasted. I even considered giving up on knowing God and His marvelous works. I asked God many questions, but no answers came for a long time.
Many days and months passed, and then, finally, I received an answer to one of my questions. I was overjoyed that God had answered my prayer. Around this time, I came across the scripture in 2 Nephi 28:30 that says we receive everything 'line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little.' This scripture strengthened my faith and trust in my Savior, assuring me that He would provide all the answers I needed in due time.
A few months later, I began to feel my testimony of the Savior growing gradually. Now, I stand as a strong witness that God hears and answers prayers. With our earnest desire and His grace and mercy, it becomes easier to know about Him and His kingdom.
I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church upon the face of the earth, and I firmly believe in the doctrines taught here. I know that the scriptures are the true words of God and that they have helped me gain a personal testimony. I testify that these things are true. I share this testimony in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
