“Stand fast, ye Saints of God, hold on a little while longer, and the storm of life will be past, and you will be rewarded by that God whose servants you are.”1 Living the Gospel of Jesus Christ is challenging sometimes. Since childhood, I was taught well about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have learned much about the duties as a priesthood holder that made me realise the significance of sharing this beautiful life-changing message with everyone and being part of the gathering of Israel. Learning music has always been an interesting part of my life, and I started to pursue it as my career. and when it was the right time, I decided that I should look for what matters most, and I started to prepare to serve as a full-time volunteer. I received the call to serve in India Bengaluru Mission. I started to see the happiness of sharing the Gospel I believed. Unfortunately, after serving a few months, I became sick, and doctors advised me to be at rest. With a heavy heart, I came back home.
It was very hard to take things when I came home, but as I took the courage to take heed to the spirit's promptings, despite my weakness and discouraged, I learned that I can serve, I can contribute when the lord is by my side and if I keep going with faith. With this inspiration, I started exercising my faith and seek for opportunities to serve him in other ways. I continued doing simple things like prayer, scripture study, listening to prophet talks and fulfilling my callings in the church. I was promised that as we do these, discouragements, feelings of loss, and loneliness will never be constant but will be replaced with true happiness in this gospel for eternities.
I cherish every moment of life when I serve the lord to change the lives of others. I am grateful for my time sharing this gospel and the people I taught during my service. But I am not finished yet and committed to being a lifelong disciple of Jesus Christ and continuing walking in his path. I know that Heavenly Father's love will never change whatever our circumstances are, but we will pass the storms of our life when we heed the prophetic counsels to love, act, and share. We can see the light if we hold on to the Gospel and its teachings. I am blessed to be a part of this wonderful gospel of hope and love. I WILL KEEP GOING WITH FAITH.
