On May 4th, 2024, nearly 45 youth from various wards gathered at the West Marredpally chapel for a youth activity centered on the theme “I am a disciple of Jesus Christ.” (3 Nephi 5:13)
The event began with a workshop where the youth created banners depicting the theme and discussed what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ and how they can steadfastly adhere to the gospel. The next session was a seminary workshop led by Sister Tallari. She highlighted the importance of seminary and provided practical advice on how youth can balance their schedules to attend seminary classes and complete yearly assignments, culminating in graduation after four years. Sister Pulla and Brother Pydimalla shared their personal testimonies on how seminary has positively influenced their education and other life aspects.
Brother Bunga conducted the final workshop, focusing on stress management and task prioritization. The activity continued with a fun scavenger hunt and a quick meditation session. The event also featured a cooking competition where the youth prepared no-fire recipes, enhancing their culinary skills.
Throughout the day, multiple indoor activities were organized to emphasize unity among the participants. The youth also learned a new song from the youth album. The event concluded with several youth sharing their testimonies about Jesus Christ, reinforcing the day's theme and lessons.
