We bought the tickets to go to the temple. While we were reading President Gordon B Hinckley’s message on food storage we wanted to do exactly what he wanted us to do. So we prayed about it and stored food for the next 6 months.
As we had some issues with my husband’s passport we could not go to the temple as planned. We had to go to his native(Chennai) to get the new passport. After working on the passport for a month we again planned our temple trip. However this time, the company we were working for refused to give us leaves and they said if we choose to take leaves then they would fire us. As we had chosen to go to the temple we had to sacrifice our work.
We did go to temple as planned and were sealed on 05 June 2007. What a glorious day that was! After the trip when we returned as unemployed we looked to get a job. We attended so many interviews and just could not get the job anywhere for the next 5 months. The food storage lasted exactly for 6 months. We were able to get a job on the 6th month and were able to restore the food in our storage.
How grateful we were for the prophet’s counsel on the food storage. If we would have not heeded to the prophet’s voice on food storage we surely would have been in all sorts of trouble. We share this testimony to let you know how merciful our Lord is towards his children. All glory to our Lord & Savior. In his sacred name even Jesus Christ. Amen.
