During Elder Uchtdorf’s visit to Hyderabad, I had a wonderful opportunity to meet the members for a special stake conference. I had the opportunity to interpret the talks of sister Uchtdorf, her daughter and sister Thompson in the native language, Telugu, during the Saturday evening session. All the talks focused on the covenant path and how keeping covenants brings blessings into our lives. It was a very special day as I had the op- portunity to shake hands with Elder and Sister Uchtdorf, take a picture, and talk to them for a few minutes.
On Sunday, I was assigned to bear my testimony during the general session of the stake conference. I pondered all the blessings I have received and how I could be a church member all these years; the spirit prompted me to bear my testimony about my choices so far. Through the spirit, I was urged to testify about all the blessings I have received by making the right choices. I was glad I had the opportunity to receive the apostolic blessings from my favourite apostle and sustain him as a chosen leader in the latter days, along with the living prophet. From the entire conference, this council given by Elder Uchtdorf inspired me to focus on finding joy and happiness no matter the circumstances; and it happens through the covenant path when we follow the gospel of Jesus Christ.
