Education Is A Commandment

Elder Dieter. F. Uchtdorf said, “For members of the Church, education is not merely a good idea — it’s a commandment”. 1 This commandment is given to us to make our life’s better; I am glad that I am doing my very best to follow this commandment through BYU Pathway. My journey in BYU Pathway Connect has brought me immense blessings. Compared to my past, I could see an ultimate growth; BYU Pathway Connect has been helpful to me in leading a better-disciplined lifestyle. Due to this, I can explore my hidden talents and potential better. It is helping me to look at myself from a different perspective, as of how God would see me.

BYU Pathway has blessed me and many of my friends. My friends have been kind and have always offered to help me whenever I had difficulty in understanding the course. My love and care had increased towards them as they reached out to me for help during the course study. The weekly virtual gathering has made me comfortable; it helped me to share my insights, gain more knowledge, seek counsel, and help others. During the course, I was able to meet with different people from different parts of the world. This experience was very new and exciting to me. Working with teams for projects has given me knowledge about the importance of teamwork.

The devotionals every week has been a source of support to achieve tremendous academic success. The talks in the devotionals by the leaders have strengthened my testimony; it helped me to be faithful and press forward with trust in God and in His plan, despite my challenges. I can now connect my secular education with spiritual education and better understand the importance of both.

All the skills that I have learned from BYU Pathway Connect are helping me design my life for good and see my better self. I am delighted that I have taken this decision in my life. I am grateful to God for providing me with this excellent opportunity to study in BYU Pathway Connect online. I will always follow the skills that I learned for the rest of my life, to serve my family, Church, and community as taught by our Leaders.

I believe that God has a beautiful plan for all his children; we can witness miracles in our lives’ when we allow His will to unfold in our lives and trust in His plan for us. Through Christ’s Atonement, we can change every day to become our best selves, especially by following his commandments. It took courage and effort to study online, but it is worth the effort and sacrifices. BYU Pathway Connect is a blessing during these challenging times.
