Make Time for Tithing Settlement

Make Time for Tithing Settlement

Invitation from the Asia Area Presidency

'We encourage all members to meet virtually or in person with their Bishop or Branch President for tithing settlement.  When you do, you will learn more of the marvelous blessings the Lord has for you and those you love.

Promised Blessing from the Prophet

Russell M Nelson

“To develop enduring faith, an enduring commitment to be a full-tithe payer is essential. Initially it takes faith to tithe. Then the tithe payer develops more faith to the point that tithing becomes a precious privilege … He made a promise to His children that He would open ‘the windows of heaven, and pour … out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.’”

President Russell M. Nelson

Tithing Settlement Q&A

Q: What is tithing settlement?

A: Tithing settlement is an annual opportunity for each member of the Church to meet with the bishop/branch president.

Q: What is discussed in tithing settlement?

A: Church members can check if their donation records are correct and declare to the bishop their tithing status. It gives the bishop an opportunity to discuss with them the principle of tithing, encourage a generous fast offering, and provide counsel on other financial and spiritual matters.

Q: Who is invited?

A: Everyone. Whether you have paid tithing or not, you are encouraged to attend tithing settlement before the end of the year. If possible, all members of a family should attend together.
