Joy Of Serving A Mission

“Many are called, but few are chosen.”[1] I am happy that I am one of the chosen ones. It is a great honour for me to serve the Lord as a full-time missionary. The privilege to serve a mission helped me to know who I am and who I would like to become. My mission president always said, “Mission is a life training Centre,” and I testify that to be true. The mission is where I learned to stay strong, be bold and move forward with courage.

My mission experience helps me to be self-reliant and live the Gospel in my everyday life. The success of a mission does not depend upon the number of baptisms, but it is about the growth of our personal testimony, our willingness to serve our fellow people, sharing the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ and many more. Now, when I ponder about my full-time service, it has made a remarkable impact on me. As members of the Lord’s Church, we must prioritize his work. The Lord’s commission is to preach the Gospel to every creature, which will never change in any dispensation. We have been greatly blessed with technology; this can be a great tool to share his Gospel with all men. “With the blessings of modern technology, we can express gratitude and joy about God’s great plan for His children in a way that can be heard around the world. Sometimes a single phrase of testimony can set events in motion that affect someone’s life for eternity.”[2] The Lord’s hand is present as it is His work. More is expected of us than any previous generation because when much is given, much is required.

My family and I have been immensely blessed because of my choice to serve Him. I am so grateful to my leaders and parents, who encouraged me to go on a mission during this troublesome pandemic. I testify that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true; it needs to be shared with every nation and people; this can be achieved by serving. When parents guide and support the children to serve Him as full-time volunteer, their generation and generations to follow will be blessed. I am grateful to my Heavenly Father for choosing me to serve Him in His due course.
