Learning Is a Continual Process By Mahalakshmi, Tambaram Branch, India Chennai Branch

The scriptures have recorded, “And if a person gains more knowledge and intelligence in this life through his diligence and obedience than another, he will have so much the advantage in the world to come.” 1

Knowledge acquisition is fundamental to Heavenly Father’s eternal plan for His children. To ensure that resources are available for those seeking this knowledge, our Loving Father in Heaven continues to bless us with his continuous revelation. The various programs in the church are the results of such revelation to our Leaders. One of my favourite programs is “Institute and Seminary”, and I enjoy attending the Institute classes. My love for our saviour has grown immensely by attending institute classes regularly.

It has helped me learn about our Heavenly Father's plan for his children and his mercy through Jesus Christ's powerful Atonement. The blessings of the restoration and the importance of eternal families grant me knowledge about the truth. This truth strengthens my faith in Jesus Christ and gives me hope. At every stage of our lives, challenges are unavoidable. The spiritual knowledge we gain will help us overcome these challenges more efficiently. Challenges include testing and applying the truth we have learnt and transforming our lives towards the Saviour.

Our test results might vary from one person to another, sometimes high and sometimes low or even below the average level, but when we keep applying the truth we have learnt, we will be perfect one day through the merits of our Saviour. This world is not our permanent place to stay. We are here to prove ourselves and return to live with him. This is my testimony that applying the truth through the Holy Ghost brings light to us. Let the light of faith shine through the darkness and let the peace of Christ fill our hearts.
