God Listens To Your Heart

Does God answer the questions of the heart? Yes! He does!

I had a beautiful experience recently; I was worried about a few things I needed to do after returning from my mission. It made me sad, and I could not feel happy for a few days. I did not feel like talking to anyone.

Then one day, when I was confused and hopeless about the questions in my heart, I got an invitation from a loving and beautiful sister in my mission. Her name is Sister Naidu. She gave me an article to read. It was written by President Nelson and found in the April 2020 Ensign. She had no idea what I was going through. In the beginning, I had the feeling not to read it at that particular moment, but after a few minutes, I strongly felt the prompting of the Spirit in my heart asking me to read the article. I know that feeling came from the Spirit because every good feeling or thought that comes to us comes from God.

I started to read the article.

I was alone on the couch and began to read the article aloud. While I was reading, I had a strong desire to go on reading the whole article. Towards the end of the article, President Nelson's following words came strongly as a direct answer to me from the Lord;

'You will have days when you will be discouraged. So, pray for courage not to give up! Sadly, some who you thought were your friends will betray you. And some things will simply feel unfair.

However, I promise you that as you follow Jesus Christ, you will find sustained peace and true joy.'

I was happiest to receive the answer and comfort I needed at that point. I did not pray about anything, but I felt and believed that the Lord would somehow provide a way for me in my difficulties. I knew He would help me overcome everything that I was finding hard. That is the only thought I had in my mind. The powerful words of the Prophet brought perfect peace to my heart, and I knew everything would be just fine.

Through this Spiritual experience, I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love each of us personally. They know the intents of our hearts. Sometimes it is not important to receive answers only when we pray because God knows what we think and are struggling with. He knows and sees our pain, our tears, our loneliness, our hearts without hope, and our fears. Everything that we feel, Heavenly Father and our Savior feel and bear on behalf of us. Our Heavenly Father's and Christ's love is so real.

Today was the last day of my mission, and it ended with miracles. Our Prophet said, 'Seek and expect miracles'. We may not be seeking a miracle, but when we have faith and follow the promptings of the Spirit, the miracles come!

Our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live, and they are always beside you and me. Never feel worried about anything because they know better than us and have better plans than ours. I love my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I invite each of us to be faithful and trust them more than anyone else.
